Calibration of the K-EUSO photo detector

In September 2019, the laboratory carried out work on calibrating the model of the photodetector of the K-EUSO detector with the participation of JEM-EUSO collaboration specialists. Visiting the laboratory are Philippe Gorodetzky, Jacek Szabelski, Giorgio Cambie, Zbigniew Plebaniak and Marika Przybylak.

JEM-EUSO Torino Meeting October 16 - 20, 2017

On October 16-20, the Department of Physics at Torino was hosting the Torino Meeting on JEM-EUSO program.

More specifically:

  • October 16th will be devoted to the POEMMA progress meeting.
  • October 17-19th will be devoted to the Balloon program: kick off meeting of EUSO-SPB2 mission; data analysis of EUSO-SPB and EUSO-Balloon flight.
  • October 20th will be devoted to the data analysis and upgrades of EUSO-TA as well simulation and data analysis of TUS and K-EUSO projects.

The TUS detector has measured a meteor

At the end of 2016 the TUS detector was switched to the meteor mode with a temporal resolution of 6.6 ms. The example of meteor waveform is shown below.
